GENERAL CONTRACTING
Hawkins & Kolb provides full-service general contracting for new construction, renovations, additions, and other commercial and residential projects. Our experience includes municipal and government buildings, recreational facilities, schools, offices, medical facilities, churches, industrial buildings, retail spaces, and custom residential construction. Our team coordinates construction activities, subcontractors, materials, schedules, and project requirements with a focus on quality, communication, cost, and timely completion. CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT / CM AT RISK Hawkins & Kolb has experience with Construction Management at Risk and similar project delivery methods. By becoming involved early in the planning and design process, our team can assist with estimating, scheduling, constructability, subcontractor coordination, and potential cost-saving opportunities. DESIGN-BUILD
Hawkins & Kolb provides Design-Build services that bring design and construction coordination together through a single project team. We work directly with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to help take projects from initial concepts through permitting and construction. This collaborative approach allows design, construction requirements, budget, and scheduling to be considered together while providing the owner with a central point of coordination throughout the project. PRECONSTRUCTION & ESTIMATING Our in-house estimating and preconstruction services help establish project costs and identify important construction considerations before work begins. Hawkins & Kolb works with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors as plans develop to evaluate pricing, construction requirements, scheduling, and potential cost-saving opportunities. |

VALUE ENGINEERING
Hawkins & Kolb uses Value Engineering to evaluate materials, construction methods, project requirements, and alternatives with the goal of balancing quality, performance, and budget. By working with owners and design professionals throughout planning and construction, our team can identify practical solutions that provide long-term value while meeting the needs of the project. Strong project management is an important part of every Hawkins & Kolb project. Our team coordinates scheduling, costs, subcontractors, documentation, and communication throughout the construction process. We work to maintain clear communication among owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors while keeping project information organized and addressing changes as they arise. Quality is monitored throughout construction, and Hawkins & Kolb follows applicable state and federal jobsite safety requirements. HK&W MARINE CONSTRUCTION Hawkins & Kolb's capabilities are complemented by our sister company, Hawkins, Knopf & White Marine, LLC (HK&W Marine), a licensed marine contractor. Together, the companies have experience with construction in and over water, including docks, floating docks, seawalls, boardwalks, fishing platforms and access, and other waterfront improvements. Project experience includes the Darlington Seagrass Boardwalk, Edgar A. Brown Lake Dock Replacement, Lake Marion Passage, Alston Trail Head, and marine projects for Santee Cooper and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. |
